At nearly 37 quid for a return, this is outrageously overpriced. At this price, you should at least expect a complimentary coffee while you wait, but not so much as a welcome greeting, just a bland, sterile waiting area. I dared not check out the prices at the coffee bar, but if it was anything like the prices at the single snack vending machine, I would say "profiteering" is a mild word to use. When it came to boarding, you are met by a couple of expressionless staff who just scan your ticket, whilst seemingly glaring into outer space. Not even a greet or a smile when you board the ferry, just a couple more staff stood by the doors, chatting to each other and ignoring all who pass. As for the other side, and the return from Ryde, just don't get me started. Using this crossing is just a depressing, miserable experience. Oh. The toilets were clean, hence the single star I have awarded here.

Great service, easy to book and check in. The toilets were lovely, use them before you sail, as Ryde is having alot of work done.

2hr gaps in the morning and afternoon timetable is not acceptable. Jobsworth inspector also wouldn’t let me on with a through train ticket which includes the crossing.
