Well worth the time to visit and see the Norman architecture thats still standing. Some gravestones with scull and crossbones carved onto them. Church itself is locked . But the ruins are well worth the time to visit with some nice stone carving to see. Worth combining whalton castle with you visit

Grade 1 listed church, with its oldest parts dating back to the late 11th century. The last service was held here on 7th March 1875. The original Norman arches are still standing. You can't enter the church as it is kept locked, but you can peer through the door hatch. There are a couple of gravestones with skull and crossbones on, and an angel on the reverse. Some interesting masonry and carvings. Worth a drop by. And Whorlton Castle is just a hop away too.
