I've just been to Whittlebury Bakery Ltd at 12 pm and it was shut after saying online it was open 9am-4pm and also states it on the sign of the bakery!

We had a couple of drinks and something eat ,good service, my pastie was great my wife wasn't as keen on her cake, our granddaughter demolished her doughnut. All at a very reasonable price.

I stopped here this morning in my Rolls Royce after seeing the sign on the roadside. I was visiting the local RREC Hunts house nearby so after my drive i was in need of a coffee and bacon roll for breakfast. I was greeted by 2 lovely ladies who served me a great coffee and a delicious bacon and egg roll which i wasted no time eating🤣👌👍. I will definately stop here again when passing. A great little rest stop with very friendly ladies serving.👌👏👏

Toilets were not cleaned no paper towel to dry hands on. Stale cake and no napkin either. Te was okay. Haven't cleaned chairs or table legs disgusting. I won't be coming afain for some time. Food behind counter no covered and flies on cakes!! Not good.

Disappointing first visit. Short staffed so limited service. Ordered bacon/egg roll which husband thought ok but my cinnamon bun was awful, really hard and chewy so definitely not made recently. Asked to swap for apple turnover, really poor but not sure how freshly made anything was ! Another customer had to request swap for his Whittlebury bun which had string in it !! Poor girl serving had to keep apologising for problems. Coffee pretty average. Place looks tired and indeed of a really thorough clean. Lots of thick dust on chairs etc and filthy carpet. Makes you question other standards. Sadly no return visit for us.
