This is an amazing tranquil spot on the Kent coastline. Whitstable maybe famous for its oyster beds, but there is so much more to this seaside town. The coastal walk runs parallel with the high St, and there are plenty of opportunities to sit and just enjoy the view or detour off to one of the many eateries on the shoreline or on the high St. The high St is a great mix of chain store brands but, more importantly, small independents, all nestled into trading shop spaces with no new ugly architecture and plastic to ruin this charming town. Just over one hour from London, this is a great place for a Summer Sunday.
