I honestly can’t believe the negative comments I read about this ward !! My father was placed here for Rehab after breaking his hip . He took Covid in with him (unbeknown to us ) . They actually offered to do his washing and drying ! Although we couldn’t visit , the communication was everyday ! The food he was given was amazing . Home cooked on site and so lovely . Thank you to the kitchen staff for all the effort . The ward and nursing staff are truly amazing human beings . So kind, caring and just like being at home . I actually didn’t think anyone could care for my dad like I do . These people did and we thank you so much !!! If a member of your family are scheduled to go here , you will be thankful for all the effort they put in . I forgot to mention my dad has full dementia has is truly a beautiful sole but hard work . These beautiful people treated him like family and we can’t thank you enough !! Happy New year

Relative was in here few years ago kitchen staff lovely physio very poor reception staff sent cardiac monitor vital results lost it clean hospital spent alot of time in bed. Base of poor district nurses who fail to fo dressings poor monitoring of elevated blood sugar and end up call ambulance when insulin doses according to there charts should be changed. The district nurses dont care about the patients in community and fail to give good care. Relatives warns very bruised following simple blood tests by district nurses. Would not wish the district nurses poor care on anyone. They have many nurses who lie and are not honest two nurses a northern one and tall one with short hair found to be getting relative to empty handbag during there visit when relative came to room to make cup of tea found northern nurse watching over the other nurse getting relative to empty her handbag for them they should not have been doing this but get away with so much they reply to me saying what are you doing she let us would you like these dishonest nurses visiting your relative from the lack of care I have seen I would advise you all not to let them visit. They cause our family no end of problems relative now suffering as a result of there lack if care. No matter how many times they are reported they keep going the same poor care .

A good hospital that has a variety of clinics and services. Treasure the NHS, don't run it down on Google maps like a Pratt.

My mother was admitted to Whitstable & Tankerton Hospital, as she had developed cellulitis on her lower legs, which had become ulcerated. She was initially treated at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and had been out for 2 weeks, before complications set in. By the time mum was referred to the W&T she was very frail, so physical rehabilitation was impossible. After the first week, she developed a chest infection, which was no reflection on the hospital and became weaker and weaker, before passing away on the 16th of August. But before she lapsed into unconsciousness, she was full of praise for the quality of nursing and kindness of the staff, an observation, I would wholeheartedly agree with. One of my family, who is a Ward Sister at the William Harvey visited her twice during this period commented on how impressed she was with the level of care. At the end of the day, they did all they could for her and more, so posting some bitter one star review would be unfair, untrue and will not bring her back.

My mum was placed in this (hospital ) after a 2 week stay at QEQM with a chest and uti infection as she was deemed unsafe to be at home on her own. This place was meant to offer her physio nd rehabillitation treatment well she saw physio team twice had another chest infection which put her in bed with constant oxygen for a few days and then she had a fall too but even though she could not walk to the toilet without supervision and needing help they discharged her after 10 days with no physio follow up and no care package being offered. How the dctrs there can have that title is beyond me !!! We were not consulted with about any of her care and i hope for your sakes nothing happens to my mother or i will be holding this place wholly responsible.
