*** Hartley Wintney *** Shocking SHOCKING health centre. Not so much the GPs iv always found them to be very good however the receptionists (especially a large blonde lady with heavy make up) are completely rude for absolutely no reason. The talk down to you as if they own the whole surgery and they have more important things to do. Their attitudes stink. What they need is a course on how to deal with the public and more importantly to mind their own business. I do not mind telling them what I need to see/speak to the doctor about but there is no reason to know down to the tiniest detail. They also charge £40 for a doctors letter and state it is at the lower end of chargeable letters… compared to where? £20/£25 is acceptable but £40?! I’d avoid this surgery if you’re thinking about registering. It is convenient if you live in the village however the way you get treated by the receptionists is despicable and the charges are ridiculous and not worth it.

Shocking! We called about our sick daughter (3) the receptionist was short with us and hung up before the conversation was finished. They ask people to be respectful of staff and yet they treat customers like livestock. Its a lottery who gets treated and every parent in the area is terrified they will have to one day need the services of whitewater health.

Thankyou to the teams at HW and Hook who, within 24 hours of my first call, had me reactivated as a patient, seen and prescribed medication. Everyone involved in the process was lovely, especially the nurse who took great care of me. You can see both practices are stretched thin and are working hard to give excellent care to as many people as they can. So glad we have these people available when needed and I hope they get the recognition they deserve

Sometimes there are difficult choices to be made, wait for a couple of hours on the phone or go to the surgery and deal with receptionist ignoring you and pretending not to see you while patiently waiting behind the screen... However you choose to contact the surgery it is going to be painful, frustrating!

The admin teams here are clearly unmanaged. Left to their own devices they strive to make their lives easier while at work only to the detriment off anyone looking to use the surgery. Call wait times are absolutely ridiculous 1hr + and their most recent solution is to close the phone lines from 12-3pm each day. They are in many cases deliberately unhelpful, unwilling to book appointments, Insistent on asking in-depth medical questions, with no medial profession, back ground or qualifications. Having used the surgery for the last 6 years I’ve unfortunately seen the wheels come off so to speak. I urge an authority to step in and get this back on the rails as thousands of people rely on these practices.

What a fantastic surgery, full of dedicated compassionate and professional staff maintaining an excellent service in exceptional circumstances. The staff are kind and understanding, the medical personal skilled and patient, and the doctors are literally working miracles with pitifully scant resources and very little sleep. I can't imagine how dispiriting it must feel to put your heart and soul into your job, your vocation, and then see on here thoughtless people moaning about waiting times. We are so fortunate to have a free health service. I'd suggest to anyone wanting to vent about having to wait on the phone, or for an appointment, to contact your MP and demand the government provide proper funding. Then when it is your turn, please be polite and grateful and remember the person you are speaking to is just as frustrated as you, but is trying to help.
