Good enough as estate-letting agents go. Rented a flat for just under a year. There where problems when I moved in but they sorted it pretty quickly. Tried to take money from the deposit for petty things. The service is ok and they won’t try and fleece you for money like most estate agents.

Avoid at all costs. We proceeded to have an offer accepted on a property following Whitegates South Elsmall own guide valuation. When the mortgage company had their own in person valuation done at the property they said it was worth 25k less. Yvonne admitted they are having lots of properties downvalued by actually surveyors but still they refuse to value properties adequately or tell their vendors the correct information. We’d also paid for a building survey which highlighted an extra 15k of work required. Still Whitegates have put the property back on the market at the original price of 220k. Legally they are supposed to tell buyers the truth about defects, building reports, previous offers that have fallen through and they are clearly not doing so

I spent weeks cleaning the filthy, grease, dusty house I rented. Which Whitegates had informed me was “clean...” I left a year later leaving the house immaculate after three hours cleaning, only to be falsely accused of all sorts of neglect, abuse and damage in an attempt to claim £451 of my bond... Good luck getting your Bond back!
