Caring Cattery- My rather nervy rescue cat has been staying for up to 3 weeks at a time over the last 5 years and always comes home happy and in great condition. Sometimes I think his coat’s shinier than when I left him! Emma and her Team are calm, welcoming and reassuring and I’m sure that my continuing confidence in them influences his (& my) unruffled mood on the way there and back. I’m very glad to have them within easy reach

Our cat Trio has stayed at the cattery on a number of occasions and he is always happy. He is very well looked after along with the other cats that stay. He loves getting brushed daily and he shows his appreciation by kissing the person who brushes him. Emma keeps the cattery very clean and it has a cosy home from home feel. If you are looking for somewhere for your cat to stay I would highly recommend this friendly cattery. Thank you Emma

Each cat has access to outdoor space, the staff are friendly and are able to administer medication where necessary. Opening hours are slightly limited but I've found it to be the best locally. They only take cats, which is a bonus as my cat finds barking dogs stressful.

Nice place and great service. The only bad thing I can say is - their parking spots are not very big and turning your vehicle can be awkward if you have a large car or van. If you’re disabled or have difficulty carting your cat basket / carrier for some reason, be aware that the access for drop-off is via a narrow track that you need to walk along. It’s not far and for an able bodied person it won’t cause any problem, but if you have difficulties carrying things or your cat is heavy and you’re not very strong, just be aware that it’s a short walk from your car to the drop in point. I have no doubt at all that, if you do have a disability and you told them before you arrived, they’d happily help you when you got there. I didn’t ask because I didn’t know until I arrived but I will for next time. It’s a great place and our rather sensitive cat (he rescued from living wild) was dropped off for a week. He’s food sensitive and gets absolutely distraught when my daughter isn’t with him 24x7 (he bonded with her strongly). Whitfield Cattery took superb care of him, they even updated us on his progress and how he was coping when we called. Our cat came back happy and well fed. We will use this cattery again without question. The staff are caring and lovely to deal with.
