Disappointed, turned up for lunch (I am gluten free) with my friend during a weekday. We both ordered the same filling in our bread (mine gluten free & hers brown) hers arrived in white bread (though did look good) mine arrived with a small sandwich & little filling, small salad without crisps (as they weren’t gluten free) however nothing replaced them. My friend managed to change her sandwich to the correct bread. I paid extra for a smaller lunch. I would go back for drinks but not food.

Great little find a short walk from the canal for all boaters fancying a full cooked breakfast or looking for the likes of pet supplies. Obviously sell garden regalia too but have a large selection of gifts and cards and have a fabulous waterside cafe serving breakfast, afternoon tea and everything in between.

3 afternoon teas booked 2 weeks in advance including 1 gluten free. How disappointing the whole experience was. First we had to ask for the dirty table to be cleaned then the we were told we could gave coffee instead of tea but any more than 1 cup we would be charged. Gluten free tea consisted of 4 door step cheese and tomato sandwiches when we commented on this they produced ham sandwiches minus any butter thrown on a plate! There were a few pieces of cake clearly out of a packet which were all very dry! The nornal tea was only slightly better, scones very dry and as with all the othef cakes clearly out of a packet! Eton mess consisted of cream and tin cherries no meringue found. None of the cakes were home made and I suspect very cheap. Needless to say I will not return. Disgraceful and very over priced. The staff need to learn more about gluten free food!
