Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! So the outside and car park in no way does the hotel justice. The room, the service, the breakfast, all first class. Great value for money. I had a long journey on a Friday evening and couldn’t have had a more welcoming and helpful arrival. Highly recommend staying here.

On a trip from Northern Ireland and wanted to take in a rugby league game as we don’t get the chance often. Decided to make an overnight stay and seen this hotel close to the ground. Didn’t expect much but WOW have to admit the room, service just everything was fantastic. Sally couldn’t have helped us enough recommending an outstanding Indian restaurant prior to our game and gave us good advice for the game itself. I stayed at Coombe Abbey (supposedly a top hotel) only 4 days earlier for work and the Wheldale was by far (and I mean far) a better hotel Thank you to Sally and the team we had a wonderful stay and will be sure to return
