I contacted Wheeldons when I was really struggling to find help to remove cardboard after recently moving, the customer service was excellent I was treated as though they'd known me for years, their politeness respect understanding and genuine concern was beyond reproach and they kept to their word and never let me down. I personally feel they would go out of their way for anyone. The collector was pleasant and even took time to have a few words with me, absolute excellent service. I would absolutely without any doubt highly recommend Wheeldons you will not by any means be disappointed.

We have used Wheeldons on a number of occasions. On every occasion they were responsive, proactive with a wealth of vehicles and plant to assist most waste and removal requirements. For example, given their experience, they assessed that due to the narrow access to a farm we were working on, they sent a bigger skip but on a smaller wagon. They have 3 main sites; Bury, Ramsbottom and Oldham which is helpful to service our north west projects. I particularly like that they are always researching and investing into new sustainable, waste recycling processes and plant. It’s also all family run by a hard working local family. I would definitely recommend. As a global manufacturer of domestic appliances, the company that I work for uses Wheeldon Brothers for waste management and recycling of not just electrical waste and packaging, but office waste too. I got to visit Wheeldons as a result of being cynical about our recycling when I saw waste that we has separated for recycling (paper, plastic, metal) being thrown out together. It turns out that Wheeldons do the job of separating and sorting that extremely well. The tour was brilliant and informative. I got to learn about the processes of every conceivable type of waste and scrap including what happens and how it is processed. I was particularly interested in the waste2energy process - where waste becomes a fuel that produces electricity for example (RDF and SRF). Very well done to Wheeldon Brothers on switching from diesel-powered shredders too! A great achievement! Thanks for your time and great learnings I've taken from the visit! Been using wheeldons for the past year staff are great and it was affordable however tipping cost have gone up and now have also brought a charge in for vehicles that are not tippers. I spend around £3500 a month here and seriously considering a different trade because of the new charge costing me around £400 extra a month. I think it’s unfair as I spend a lot of money here I see people that have tippers tipping off and still putting items back on taking the exact same amount of time. I just feel this will impact a lot waste removal businesses for that reason I have to give 2 stars
