Great place to visit if it's a nice day and you're bored. Pleanty of open space (just be aware of the cows). Effectively, it's a field with medieval town relics but the signs explain everything and I found it very intresting. We went when it was raining (in fairness, it had started raining once we got there) so we got a bit muddy but that's expected 😂. No tickets needed to get in so it's perfect to have a picnic.

Historically this place is very important, but if you're not an archaeologist then this is not as exciting as you may wish! You can see the remains of a church which are interesting but that's about it. It's also 3/4 of a mile from the car park so a decent walk. Lack of signs back to the car park afterwards meant I took a wrong turn and walked 20 minutes longer than I needed to! Actually, I quite enjoyed it! Go take a look if you are in the area but remember that it's billed as a village but there's really just the church left to see. As long as you bear that in mind, you should have an enjoyable trip.
