Duncan is a gifted teacher with the ability to distil everything that is important about a topic and then transmit it with impeccable clarity. His obvious love of all things nautical comes across abundantly in his warmth and infectious enthusiasm, and he has an unabashed mission to make things simple. I highly recommend his sailing courses and his books.

I completed the Westview day skipper course on line with Duncan in September 2022, it was defiantly not easy but the education this course provides is invaluable! Duncan is defiantly dedicated and wants his students to succeed, he will reply very promptly to home work submissions ( even at 10pm ). Zoom meetings held regularly to check progress and chat about problems encountered while doing course work. Absolutely top notch class work that has given great confidence to get out and explore the waters. Thank you Duncan and sorry for testing you patience at times but you were to polite to say so. I can not recommend this guy enough. Thank you.

I have just completed the YM theory with Westview Sailing. It is a very comprehensive course, great videos (with humour - always helpful) and lots of support from Duncan Wells. I would highly recommend attending the weekly Zoom meetings just to touch base and keep focussed although Duncan responds very promptly to any emails or queries - seven days a week! Very pleased with the course and I would highly recommend Westview Sailing.
