Have used Westside Forestry for years to trim three large trees (including 200 year old mulberry) and removal of one tree which looked fine but turned out to be rotten all the way inside the trunk. Always friendly and professional from first contact to clearing up - they even contacted neighbours to clear debris fallen over fences - and know what they are talking about regarding conservation areas, what can/cannot be felled/lopped, etc. I recommend them to anyone requiring tree work. Have seen some negative reviews but must say I couldn't be happier with the work these guys have done. They have been friendly and approachable at every stage from the initial visit and quote to getting the job done. They arrived on time and did a terrific job, transforming the look of my garden. They were so scrupulous in tidying up afterwards too which is greatly appreciated. Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate in having them do more work as needed or to recommend them. I wish I could put 0star. Booked in to trim my tree in the front house for 12.00 pm. I ve been waiting at home for someone to come. After 4hrs waiting I called the office to hear that they’ve tried to come but couldn’t park, they didn’t even take the time to inform me. They didn’t reschedule a visit and they said they will try at some point with no date or anything. Very bad customer service. Service: Tree trimming & pruning

Where Have All The Trees Gone
Edited for more info and clarity based on experience witnessing this companies services - In February and March 2022, this company decimated local greenspace in our town at the request of a property management company (Freshwater - Highdorn) as well as shouting slurs at our photographer, who was simply recording the activity as we have a vested interest in this particular shared public green area - so just poor conduct . They were overzealous, not to mention one of the HEALTHY tree's they took nearly fell onto a nearby building and residents heard and felt a loud crash. They lied to us several times that they would only take dead bits but they took whole healthy trees that were 60+ years old and provided strong habitat for local birds. All that was required was a simple trim of branches deemed too close to the building - the trees taken were large and healthy and were in no danger of falling over. DO NOT use these people is our recommendation based on the conduct we have witnessed - they appear to have no experience or at least no care for wildlife management as was evident by their actions (discarded birds nest found after they had left) - attached are pictures showing the ugly space they leave behind as well as the birds nest we found after they had gone. From experience, please don’t let people like this oversell their services to you - over management of urban wild areas have led to a significant decrease in vital species such as bees and vegetation that provides habitat for animals from the local park and in the town - in times of ecological crisis, it’s really sad to see this level of callousness toward wildlife and urban green space
