Venue was for a family wedding which was absolutely perfect and the service and food was great for the wedding. However, was let down by my bedroom after paying £160 for the night. The bathroom was appalling, smashed toilet cistern, no hot water for the shower and broken riser shower rail. Poor pillows on the bed when checked and missing saucers in the tea/coffee facilities. When raised with the staff at reception area I was given an unsatisfactory response! We have a toilet cistern on order, you should of rang down about no hot water (when I was stood naked in a shower) a bit difficult!! The other issues I was told are housekeeping concerns. Housekeeping were next door to my bedroom both staff sat down with their feet up on their mobile phones every time I passed by! I would of expected to be told about my bathroom when I checked in and had a reduction on the £160 night rate as the room was of a substandard nature. This was not offered before or when checking out. The room was of poor quality for the nightly rate. General cleanliness of the room also poor!
