Just come home from westerly lakes we enjoyed 4 nights there in our caravan. It was so peaceful just what we needed the toilets were spotless , everything you needed was at hand Geoff and Barbara were brilliant. My husband spent most of the time fishing and also had his birthday there which was all good since he caught a couple of decent sized carp on his birthday 🎂 so he was very pleased. We really enjoyed it so booked again in a few weeks time thanks again see you soon. Paul/Diane Harris

Been looking for different venues to go fishing not too far from home. Called in on the off chance as fished this venue in a match years ago. The owners were extremely pleasant and helpful and explained that there is now no match fishing on the lake, but it is fishable on a day ticket or if you are on the caravan site. Well kept site and will definitely be returning to fish the venue in the near future. There are Carp in the lake but if you're fishing for them abide by the rules, ie talk to the owners about what rigs you can or can't fish with and that you can't use braid.

Had a fantastic few days here we loved it would go anytime we could. Owners really helpful and friendly lovely local village with traditional pub and a shop and post office across the road. The pub does food Thursday to Sunday but a chip van calls in the car park on a Monday 4-6 and you can eat your chips in the pub if you wish with a cuppa or a pint. Food from chippy very nice and a reasonable price. You can catch a bus from the village direct to York, the owners have all the information for this and everything else you may need in a special set up in the toilet/washing up area
