Great place for a walk - we did the lake walk and saw a host of insects, bugs and birds. Seems to be popular for people fishing, too. There's also a play park that the children all really enjoyed, including ours. There are picnic benches and there's a cafe at the visitor centre, which we didn't use. Pretty decent toilets at the main car park, as well. Sadly, one star off for the car parking arrangements: it's cash or RingGo, but mobile signal is very poor in the area making the absence of pay by card facilities pretty much unfathomable.

Just returned from visiting this park Turned out to be a complete waste of money. Had to leave early as the noise from the boys playing with toys reaactment was so loud it frightened our dogs Seems strange that a park that attracts visitors for the widelife walks actually were doing there best in frightening nesting birds. We were not the only people shocked by the noise levels. Maybe a warning poster at the gate would have saved an expensive mistake and not resulted in a very anxious dog.Would warn anyone with a noise sensitive dog to avoid at all national trust experience so much better
