I have no doubt the paramedics at Worcester are fantastic people who we would be lost without, but living near the ambulance station as I do, I wish they would be more judicious with their use of sirens. They seem to use them regardless of time of day or night and level of traffic. The sirens we use in the UK are the worst for the piercing wail they emit and to hear it so often throughout a 24 hour cycle is pretty miserable. Do people call an ambulance for every conceivable reason nowadays?

Saturday was the first time that I had administered a gtn spray due to excessive breathlessness. The resultant drop in blood pressure was precipitous. My wife was alarmed. The two paramedics arrived at the door minutes later! Immediately diagnosing hypotension, they were most impressive in their professionalism and conduct and stayed for over an hour to make sure I had recovered. What a team! Congratulations to a wonderful service! With grateful thanks.
