    I have been waiting for 9 weeks to hear back from West Marine with regards to having my engines serviced. 6 weeks ago I heard from them to say that the Golden Arrow Parts Manger was on Holiday and they couldn't source parts - I rang Golden Arrow and if they had a parts list they could have been ordered and delivered to usual time tables. I received a call from Ross this morning stating they had visited the boat ( that could not have happened as I have been staying on the boat for a number of weeks and the engine bay is locked) and due to corrosion ( the only corrosion being a very small amount on the exit exhausts normally cleaned off each year)that they couldn't take the boat on. I have been dealing with Mick West (the father) since 1999 and he has looked after all three of my boats and I have always received fair service for a fair price spending a significant amount of money with the firm. I do think this is simply a case of they really don't want regular , good paying clients or really can't be bothered with reliable customers. Having waited 9 weeks for a small service on a normal engine set to say I am disappointed is an understatement especially as had I known I could have simply booked someone else and got some use from my boat post lockdown. My view is very much precede with caution with a firm that has no customer information or history despite the significant spend I have had with them. To be fair I have been considering moving my boat during lockdown you can't get good service in the marina anymore and quite frankly given the number of floating houses filling the marina its no longer a quality marina to moor in. I do not agree with your response the first discussion with your gentleman Andy was in June of 2021 where I was quoted a 3 week lead time after not hearing from you for many weeks I chased and got a number of apologies and other platitudes. The fact remains and my review stands. The facts you state around the vessel presume that you have any knowledge of its owners or otherwise or where it has been and where it gets serviced. Im sorry my hull doesn't meet your standards however given I wouldn't want to use the boat without engines standard a small amount of marine growth on the hull given the lock down over the last 18 months and lack of access to the vessel by law what's the point your making. I shall simply accept your position that you can't cope with the boat. Had you asked for the engine serial numbers and service schedule and certificates of maintenance they could have been provided from within the cabin, equally had you prescribed entry criteria to your services I would have been happy to comply, We are talking about tow raw fuel filters and engine oil change with filters a single belt on each engine and two air filters for both engines. All of which were in the garage for your collection. However its clear that you can't orchestrate the work and I can't wait for your expertise for 3 months plus till you grace the boat with your attendance. Shall simply go elsewhere and once my boat meets your standards invite your inspection lol. This is a Princess V52 which I paid best part of Β£300k for however you seem to think its a converted MFV awaiting scuttling. You will need to remember that your lack of contact and customer consideration is the root cause of this failure but as a business lacking modern methods of communication and customer care apologising after the fact doesn't really meet any standard.
