BAD SCHOOL! West Heath School is a terrible school for children with learning difficulties or even behavioural difficulties, i attended this school for a few years, i would say that west heath school is severely abusive for the students mental health! Boarding side. boarding was great, i found boarding to be a second home and the staff and students in my boarding house felt like family especially francis, francis is a great role model and just a overall great man, he helped me with so much, he could change a frown to a smile in a second. boarding had its downsides though like the rest of staff had favourites and made it clear that they didnt like a certain student, i managed to deal with it although it was difficult. i would not recommend west heath unless you have no other option as the majority of the senior staff are severely unprofessional and it will have toll on you’re child’s mental health thank you to the staff that helped me and supported me (mainly boarding staff)

This school is a death trap, albeit one with beautiful scenery. A few staff members are truly amazing (with special thanks to Matt, Bridget and Mimi) and that’s why I’m rating 2 stars instead of one, but others are neglectful, rude and downright nasty to students. I went here for 5 years and almost died, was stalked and harassed for the whole duration, received little to no help with my education, met some incredibly dangerous people grouped in with the most vulnerable children. I was re-traumatised on a daily basis which resulted in me missing most of my education. The higher-ups are biased with which students they give a chance to and refuse to look after their students, even ones at risk of serious and permanent harm. Do not be fooled by the beautiful exterior, this school is dangerous and neglectful and almost caused the deaths of numerous students. Do not send your child here unless you want them to have C-PTSD and worse mental health conditions than they had coming in!!!!

My daughter went to this school and did brilliantly. Left with confidence and excellent exam results. Throughout her time at the school she was listened to and supported. Went straight into employment and is still working. I have nothing but respect for all the staff who have been such a good influence on my daughter. They provided her with the skills to achieve and believe that anything is possible if you work hard.

Schools not great. They also make it look better than it is in the pictures when in reality the rest of the school is rundown. I could write paragraphs on how bad the school is but it’s just not worth my time. -_-
