It’s not only unpleasant too have to write this but it is also an unpleasant experience to be apart of west Hants so called tennis club. The facilities are amazing and have no ends of potential to them if used properly they really have got the potential to be an elite sports club. But in actual fact the only thing they make is stale cake and horrible staff such as the head bar worker Julian who is not only unbelievably rude to me but to everyone. All I have heard is complaints about such a man he is really not a nice piece of work kicking people of court early and bluntly but has no manners at all in all honesty I can’t stand the guy. Mia behind the bar is a little star and is very polite and welcoming so are the reception workers but Mia has stood out too me especially. Peter has not only been rude and unwelcoming but I really can’t talk about how bad he has been and how poorly the club is run now. Those two staff have made the whole experience if west Hants one of the worst I can possibly imagine and now we can hardly play tennis because of the very poor management from a horrible head of staff no one likes. Overall very unimpressed.

Great club for tennis and working out, although you need to be a member which isn't cheap. Tennis courts are very nice and well kept, and the gym was in similarly excellent shape, with lots of machines and not too busy. They have a cafe (and possibly also serve food there?) But I didn't try those. If you're looking for a high end tennis club, this is a great option

Pauline in the Pro Shop at West Hants was fantastic in helping my find the right racket. I really valued her expertise and how she listened to me to understand what I was after. Great service and I will be returning to the shop in the future. Thank you.

Great facilities, staff let the place down. Front of house never acknowledge you, either do the gym staff. They make you feel uncomfortable if anything. There is never any member interaction, the gym staff sit around chatting to one another or on their phones. The gates at reception are always open, so there is probably a lot of non members coming and going as they please, the front of house don't care as they never look up. Can never get booking a tennis court and only manage to get the odd cancelation, probably due to non members being allowed in to play tennis. ( This defeats the purpose of paying an expensive membership to play tennis when you can never get to play).Car park is always packed during the week, again lots of people using it to park their cars for work that don't use the club. Management on the defence if you mention this and make out know one else feels the same about the club, which I'm sure isn't the case. Overall, the club staff don't feel the need to care about its members because there is no competition or any other club to compete with in Bournemouth. Its a well established club with long term members, so there is always a full membership retention. The bar staff and tennis coaches are great, front of house and gym staff let the place down big time. After being a member now for 1 year, my fiancé and I will not be renewing our membership. We have had not one hello from the reception team since being there, even when we say hello, they cant even be bothered to say hello back, too busy on their phones. Gym equipment is dated and is never maintained. Ive mentioned to the gym staff of running machines that slip, aren't calibrated and that you cant put the speed down when you go over a certain speed, 1 year in and no change. These machines are dangerous to use and the staff don't care as they clearly don't check them even when told there is faults. Membership team will email generic emails to you, even when you make a complaint ( my fiancé and I both got the exact same email when we made totally different complaints), which is quite insulting, proving that they just don't care. If you're looking for a good gym and any kind of membership experience then this is not the place for you. We have only managed to play tennis a handful of times in the year we have been members. The staff are awful, the Personal Trainers are very inexperienced going by how they conduct a P.T session with clients who unfortunately don't know any better. Like I said before. This place has no competition and because of this they can be how they like, lump it or leave it attitude. Ive been in the fitness industry for over 30 years and this is the worst club I've ever been in. They would not last 5 min in London with this poor service and bad attitude towards its members.
