We stayed at Wesley Gate last week for a mini break with the kids (5 year old and a baby). Booking was extremely easy and the apartment was excellent value for what you get - a home from home which is cosy and very well appointed, with included secure parking (the latter very welcome after staying in another aparthotel in Reading that charged extra for parking and couldn't totally guarantee a spot). We asked for an apartment facing the car park as we are light sleepers (plus used to living on a very quiet country road) and had read about road noise being a potential problem. We know Reading well and that is a relatively busy road. I was up most hours of the night with the baby and we were in during the mornings, and can honestly say there was no problematic road noise - we could hear traffic but it didn't bother us or wake us up/keep us awake at all. It was no louder than anywhere in Reading would be (we used to live here so can compare). The location is great for walking into town with everything very accessible. The space was absolutely brilliant with kids and the hosts were so easy to communicate with for things like the travel cot etc. We decided not to squeeze all four of us into the bedroom in the end but for anyone wondering there is definitely room for a travel cot, double bed, and a floor bed for a child (with minor furniture moving in the room). We really loved this stay and will return for future trips.
