Great, friendly staff and nice food which is reasonably priced. There is a large carpark at the rear which is ideal, as the venue is situated within easy reach of all the shops and the Minster of the wonderfully quaint market town of Howden. Quiz night on a Tuesday is a must! I have only given 4 stars for the rooms as I haven't actually seen them, but if the other aspects of the Wellington are anything to go by, they will be comfortable and inviting!

We arrived before check in time but we were checked in without fuss. We stayed in room 6 which is a refurbished deluxe room. The room was very clean and presented well. We hadn't realised that it was party night in the bar 2 floors below and the music was noticeable but not overly intrusive. We slept well, the room was nice and cosy. The breakfasts were very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
