My daughter has just entered her second year and I can see the difference it has made to her in terms of confidence and leadership. She is no ordinary 17 year old, more like 22. Welbeck is not right for everyone and it is important to look at the end result. Those who go there will hopefully end of as engineering officers in the forces or the civil.services If that is not what you want to do Welbeck is not right for you. Welbeck is the beginning of that journey. For many the intensity is a shock. Living together, working 6 days a week, 2 hours of prep a night. Then there is the fitness, leadership and military activities. It is a tough challenge. The college has amazing facilites and if you have will and determination it is a great place. Seeing the cadets at the final parade in their uniforms gives a sense of enormous pride
