5 of us had dinner here today, staff all friendly and helpful. Shame the food wasn't up to the standard they are trying to achieve, 4 of us ordered sirloin, it was rare and tough to chew for 2 of us, gave free pudding as compensation. I ordered a pint of speckled hen to have with my dinner but ended up sending it back as it was cloudy. The next pint was the same, so I ordered a pint of abbot ale instead, which was fine. Shame the staff didn't understand the barrel of speckled hen was past its best and didn't check the second pint to see if it was ok before bringing it to the table.
