A tidy clear path and with gin clear water, mild weed, plenty of shady overhangs and not a passing boat in sight get ready to wet your net! The canal and river trust spend thousands each year stocking local canals and I love what they provide. For only an extra £20 per year from the website you can fish many places and this is one of them! Well stocked with perch, pike, bream and some big carp this peaceful haven is only a short walk from the main road and has an excellent pub along the towpath if you've worked up a thirst 😂 If you are a fellow angler and find any other spots 100% permitted please label then "waterways wanderers" in the fishing ponds section please.
