Lovely country walk around a reservoir. Beautiful views of the surrounding country and a nearby wind farm if you don't mind that (I think they're quite scenic). No sign of the city at all, despite being very accessible from North Manchester. There's a few bridleways coming off the main path if you fancy a detour. Suitable for young children (my 3 year old happily walked around the whole reservoir in about 90 minutes). Very muddy in the winter, so take suitable footwear. Plenty of parking, although I imagine it gets busy at peak times.

Lovely place to walk around, I went in the snow and it was still easy to walk. I arrived around 12 and the car park was pretty empty, but by the time I returned to my car it was quite busy, around 1:30pm. There were still enough spaces though as to not make it cramped.

Went to park run here - it was a sunny day and I was blown away by how stunning it was. City Centre views to die for - and with the reservoir you felt like you were in the Lake District - defo worth a trip. Iād love to go back and explore more of the hills.
