My watch was on sale for nearly a year when I was told repeatedly it would sell in 4 weeks. Now I find the company has gone bust and am waiting to get my watch back from another company BQ. Very unhappy and angry at the complete incompetence of this company

I will be a bit of a contrarian here... Recently purchased a watch from Watchmaster and aside from a minor payment issue (which was rectified within a working week), my transaction was very smooth. I purchased the watch I wanted at a realistic market price, which other similar businesses didn't want to contemplate. So as a buyer, I can recommend their services. You also get an authenticy card and a 2 year warranty on the watch. As a seller, I contacted them months ago to understand if they could help with a watch I wanted to pass on. Their consignment policy in relation to keeping your watch for 12 months was clearly stated to me. I decided to sell my watch elsewhere, as it seemed too long... and perhaps a symptom of scarce confidence in being able to sell quickly. Generally, when you are buying or selling expensive commodity goods make sure you do your due diligence (i.e. read all the contractual terms). My experience was positive overall as an informed customer.

I would not recommend selling with Watchmaster. They take a huge amount of commission, and there are various opaque charges including refurbishment (which are entirely at their discretion). In my case they indicated a sales price which has proved wildly inaccurate. After two reductions we have still not sold. And as other reviewers have mentioned you won't get your watch back from them even when they fail to deliver - you have to pay out the contract or wait for 12 months to expire. I am sorry but I can't give a positive review.

Scammers. There was no mention of it costing me £1832 to get my watch back for simply listing it online. They want all the profit they would have made from the sale when I want my watch back. Now being reffered to the ombudsman as I wasn't aware or given the terms and conditions and even when reading them they don't mention about this scam

If you are prepared to leave your watch with them for 12 months, without any options, unless you pay them the commission that is supposed to be paid by the buyer, if they can find one, then go ahead.

Unfortunately the watch I purchased was lost in the post due to UPS misdirecting it. Jayden endeavoured to locate the watch to no avail and I was refunded the money in full. I am obviously disappointed in not receiving the watch but happy with the service Watchmaster gave and would recommend them as a company to be trusted.

Avoid this company at all costs, I sent my watch to be sold with them, unfortunately due to my own mistake i did not read the fine print regarding terms and conditions regarding the contract of selling the watch. I was advised most likely for a Rolex of my year the selling time would be short, it’s now 8 months and have just been lowering prices as I go with no interest. I am unable to get my own watch back as I’d have to pay a 2000£ commission price which was never described over the phone but only on the fine print. I can’t get my watch back without this and I also don’t see them selling it. I’ve tried to contact them but it’s just a hardline no about the sale commission they would require for me to get my own watch back. I do not recommend this company. Read the fine print and always be able to get your own property back. Can’t wait to get my own property back. Hopefully just as I sent it
