Didn’t even seem interested in helping. Went to my usual pharmacy this morning to collect prescription. They said they didn’t have items in stock. I have type 1 diabetes, so when I need medication I need it; I am not talking about tablets for a headache, I’m talking about trying to stay alive here. Anyway, after useless pharmacy visit of the day number 1, I got a referral from 111 to Warren to go and collect an emergency prescription. Phoned in advance then went down there as instructed, and was shortly told that the pharmacist couldn’t access my GP record. I offered to show her my record on my NHS app, not remotely interested. Wasn’t even explained what ‘can’t access your record’ even means; I had to ask what she meant by that and whether that meant she couldn’t help me. Apparently that’s exactly what it meant, but I wouldn’t have known that unless I had explicitly asked. Just really unhelpful, basically. So, I left empty handed from second useless pharmacy visit of the day and now have no means of testing my blood sugar until GP surgery opens in 36 hours time. Let’s just hope I’ve not put myself in a coma then by overinjecting insulin because I have no idea what my blood sugar actually is. Or that I’ve become so high I’ve had to seek assistance at A&E, which would be a completely avoidable waste of NHS resources when I’ve already tried to get help from two pharmacies plus 111. NHS at its finest. Let’s make it as difficult as possible for someone with a serious long term condition, who ordered their prescription in the correct way one week ago so should not even be in this situation, to get the products they need to stay alive. Thanks very much.

A few months ago, I had applied for a vacancy at this very pharmacy. I was delighted to have discovered I had been forwarded for an interview; however, upon the time my interview was due to take place, the person responsible for conducting my interview was absent and never offered a reason behind their absence nor made any attempt to contact me regarding why. I called this very pharmacy in an effort to figure out why and to potentially scavenge myself the remains of what was supposed to be an "interview." I was greeted by someone who I presumed to be the pharmacist, or at least someone who could offer me some degree of assistance. It took me a moment to explain what had happened and whether or not they would be able to assist me; they told me they would send an email. Here we are, April 20, 2022, and still nothing in response. I even tried to call and email HR (human resources) and received no response despite my efforts. If you are looking for a job in the pharmaceutical industry, look somewhere else.

The team at Warren Pharmacy are really friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time there as a volunteer vaccination steward. I found the duty pharmacist very helpful and she is a good team leader who is also very good with customers as are the other team members.
