Dreadful - cats came out skinny and traumatised after 2 weeks and coats had lost their shine. Facilities poor (pens had no scratching posts and bed was a bowl with blanket). If I hadn’t had flights booked I would never have left them. Even so the cattery was full and most reviews I had read were good so decided go against my better judgement. I now wonder about the credibility of some reviews. Despite promising to let us know and keep me updated, the Owners were very unresponsive to requests for updates on how cats were. When we did finally speak I don’t think they even knew which cats I was talking about. This was upsetting and unusual-every Cattery’s we have ever stayed with has been forth coming and keen to share that cats doing well. When we eventually got home, we realised that the cushion base of one of the cat carriers (which we’d left in their pen ) was sodden with urine and also full of poo. Cats clearly used it as a litter tray but doesn’t appear that owners noticed (or cared) and were happy for me to put poor cat in there to travel home. Oh and incase you’re wondering we did notice a smell in car (dreadful) but kept windows open thinking it was an accident had on the journey, but there’s no way it could be - far too much! I note that the litter tray provided at cattery had about 3 pieces of litter in it, likely not enough for cats to understand this is what it was for. When I asked why I was told it was because it works. 🤷♀️ Clearly not. Both my cats use a litter tray at home when necessary no problem! Wareside is most certainly not the first Cattery’s we have used but very definitely the worst :(

Carol was extremely rude! Apparently asking whether they charge per night or per day is not worth their time. Pathetic level of customer service. If a customer doesn’t have a right to ask about the price you charge, then what is the point? I was more than happy to pay whatever the charge was, but she declined and then goes on to hanging up the phone on my face. Who knows, maybe if my name was Joe Blogs, she may have been more accommodating It is the most disgracefully poor level of customer service I have ever come across. The sheer arrogance shown by Carol to indirectly label me as a customer not fit for her business simply because I asked whether they charge per day or per night is beyond appalling. She has shown an utter lack of competence and I will not recommend her cattery to anyone. There are plenty of great catteries nearby that provide a very high level of service. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid this Cattery

Kind, caring owners who look after my cats beautifully. Always happy to help with medications. Can't fault them. Accommodating and clean. Pens are light bright and airy and in a lovely setting. I wouldn't board my cats anywhere else. They are always calm and chilled out when I go to collect them, I think that shows how well Carol and David are at looking after them! Thank goodness we found them <3
