Complete waste of time, had to phone them for a MOT when I was 60, got put on tablets for high cholesterol 4.5 years ago, stuck on them as no follow up from doctor, just had a txt from gp surgery to say cpcs referral for a abpm due to high blood pressure even tho ive not had my blood pressure taken for 4.5 years. Phoned up to check if hoax and after waiting in the queue was told CPCS was working along side the surgery, so asked again who CPCS was and she didn't seem to know even though she acknowledged she knew who they are? Confused now,

In order to make an appointment you have to call early morning at 8.30! And then, its a 50 minute wait on the phone just to get through to someone.

I visited the surgery today the doctor i seen was Dr Imrani, i felt rushed i was there a very short amount of time. My issue was not dealt with he didn't ask me any of the questions previous Doctors had when seen about the same issue some years ago. I left being told to take a paracetamol. Im still in pain and unhappy about the way Dr Imrani dealt with it.

Makes sure you ring between 6-12 months in advance of being unwell, you may stand a chance of seeing a doctor then. It's not that they are busy, it's simply because they are not there. When you call up chances are you will be number 47 in the queue, once you eventually get to speak to someone you are then expected to give your full and personal medical history and background to someone who has no business knowing such things. Upon then giving them all this information, they then decide if you a worthy of maybe being put on a call back list, nevermind actually seeing a doctor. This practice needs closing down! it's a drain on national financial resources and is not fit for purpose!
