The large arched windows featuring elaborate decorative tracing, the oddly truncated buttresses and an obviously absent tower, makes for an arresting presence facing the High Street. An intriguing back story regarding the dismantling and reconstruction of the Church from Kings Cross, then Euston, undertaken by the original architect, John Johnson in 1866-7. The texture of grey brickwork, Ragstone, dressings and tracing present a composite that’s tactile, distinctive and evocative. Memorable and worth seeking out. It was closed. Grade II Listed. An active community here.
