Very rude and unprofessional staff. I have been trying to contact the customer service for the last 4 days and when finally someone picked up the phone the person doesn't helped at all and when I have requested to speak to manager and raise complain the call was dropped.

Ridiculous. You have the time to send me a final notice letter demanding money and cutting my right to pay council tax in instalments, but you fail to pick up the phone or reply to my multiple emails kindly asking for help. I applied twice for the student exemption and both times the reasons for being declined were absolutely ridiculous. I am absolutely put off by Walthamstow because of you now, the worst council I have dealt with by absolute miles.

I can't go less then one star unfortunately, probably one of the worst council I've been with in 8 years in London. Sent an enquiry a month ago, still waiting for a reply. I have tried to call them now, after 30min on hold waiting for someone I gave up. How many people work inside here? Cause I literally feel it's a joke getting in touch with you, funny how then we're late on payments and we get letters straight away. Maybe we should stop paying them all and maybe they will consider more what they are supposed to do. It's a shame.

STAY AWAY. This isn't London. It's more like the soviet Union. The worst council ever. If you live here, it will become your worst nightmare. BE AWARE!!!

I would give no stars if I could. This council is neglectful and just incompetent. I arranged a large item collection and they never collected this item. I emailed several times and even called a number of times still nothing. They are an absolute shambles they don’t respond to emails or calls, they Just take your hard earned money and give a diabolical service.

I bought a house and moved into the borough in April 2022. Since then, I have been appalled by the quality of the service they provide. They tend to don't respond to emails and calls. They usually close and ignore matters if you open a case or investigation. As a resident and taxpayer, I expect a basic level of service from Waltham Forest Council! ( it shouldn't be that difficult!). I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism. If the government trying to improve areas like Walthamstow and Leyton, there is a looooong way to go with the unskilled staff in the council!
