My name is Samuel, I'm 38 years old and I started karate to improve my fitness and general health/ wellbeing. I've only been at the club for a few months but I've found a real sense of belonging at Walsall karate Dojo. Everyone is treated as an equal and you're part of the team from your very first session. Since starting karate, my low mood has pretty much disappeared and Im generally a less grumpy person. TOP instructors lead by Sensei Steve Carless who have a vast, seemingly unending wealth of knowledge and experience, despite being asked loads questions from this 38 year old bloke that started karate a few months ago....... OSS!

I started training at Walsall Karate Dojo in the summer of 2021, and have loved every minute of my time here so far. I was a complete beginner to martial arts and I was immediately made to feel welcome. Steve Carless Sensei and his team of instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and the Dojo itself is a fantastic environment in which to train. If you're looking for somewhere to learn or further develop your Shotokan Karate in the Midlands, this is the place to be!
