The Millennium Seed bank there makes it the most bio-diverse place in the world. Also a beautiful wildlife botanical garden. This summer (2023) the grade 1 listed house is undergoing extensive roof repairs. Consequently the outsides are covered in scaffolding which has been covered on three sides with sheeting on which artwork is displayed. One can climb up a temporary outdoor staircase inside the sheeting with an opening at 33ft high to give great views of the Wakehurst landscape.
