My experience on Wednesday 12th April 2023. My original quote was £324 inc VAT based on a detailed email of the list of items I needed moving. A lot of my items were flat packed. I also hired a handyman on Tuesday 11th April to dismantle my bed, wardrobe, garden shed and to take down my TVs and larage mirrors off my walls. I had 3 removal men. They showed up at 9:30am as agreed. I paid the remaining balance due before everyone entered my house. Which I had been told to do through email. It took all 3 men 40 minutes to take 2 doors off my LG fridge freezer. This was the only big item what needed to be dismantled. One of the men told me that I should of had my handyman take my fridge freezer door's. Which I thought was a rude comment to make considering I had stated in my detailed email that my fridge freezer door's would need to be taken off. When I left my property at 10:30am the fridge freezer was still in my kitchen. Tge 2 door's had been taken off. I had to drive to my new house to let the handy man in and his helper to start work while waiting for all of my flat packed items to arrive. It took 3 hours for the 3 removal men to empty most of my house and garage. I didn't move with my sofas and bedroom 5 piece chest of drawers set. When it came to the 3 removal men to unload my furniture they were putting everything in my livingroom and passing me boxes at My front door until I started giving them instructions on where I wanted everything. After the removal van had been unloaded we all drove back to my other property. There wasn't much left to be loaded however I needed my washing machine to be put outside for the scrap metal van. Once again it took 3 men to take the pipe off my washing machine,none of them could turn the main tap off. So I ended up staying behind at my property for 40 minutes to try and stop the leak. The removal men were 1 hour ahead of me by the time I had reached my new property. When I arrived 1 of the removal men was sat in the front of the van on his mobile phone, the 2nd removal man was in the back of the van and the 3rd man who was nowhere to be seen but was apparently he had went to the toilet. All of the remaining items were still on the van ready to be unloaded. So basically they all sat around waiting for me to arrive and pay for another 3 hours in advance before they were going to unload my items. I told them once you unload my items I will pay for the extra hours. I was told it was companies policy that my items would not be unloaded until I paid for 3 more hours which I had to do because my items were being held hostage. Very unprofessional this made me feel very uncomfortable. I am a professional business women and I have never done business like this removal company. I thought that with me requesting three removal men instead of just two that everything would go to the original 3 hour plan. I noticed that these 3 removal men was unorganised and thats why the removal job took 6 hours instead of 3 hours. This had a negative affect on my handyman and his helper because they were unable to start building up my flat packed items until they had all been unloaded. I have given 2 stars one for my furniture been loaded and one for my furniture been unloaded. I will not be recommending this removal company to any of my friends or family. I hired this company to do my removal of my 3 bedroom house to my new 3 bedroom house because of the positive reviews I had come across and because my original quote of £324 inc VAT seemed reasonable.
