It is easy to say what the station can offer other than train journeys (NOTHING). No ticket office No toilets No staff No cafe No pub. Poor information boards. It probably looks much like it did when it was first built and needs improvements. Good news, my train was on time

Open to the elements, a little cafe on site, not enough information where platform 2 is

New shelter looks amazing and pristine, probably because they never open it to the public. Found it locked up on a Saturday afternoon during a cold snap. No toilets here either

One of the worst train stations I've ever been to. No toilets for starters. In 2022 I can't exercise my human right to relieve myself in private! There's a new shelter (new to me, not been here for years) on platform 2 & 3 yet on a Saturday afternoon, pouring down with rain, it was locked. 20 minute wait for my next train, which is late (of course!), busting for a wee and no shelter from the rain. This is a perfect representation of the state of trains/railways in this country.

Don't use very often as prefer to travel from Westgate station but unfortunately the free city bus around Wakefield doesn't run on a Sunday so had to travel from here to avoid walking across the city, it's fine as a way of getting from Wakefield to Leeds without too much hassle but there isn't much of anything to look at while waiting for trains. As a whole after the renovations it's ok as a station but improvements could still be made. Definitely would benefit from public toilets being added along at least 1 platform and a simpler parking system
