A fair size Waitrose with the usual goodies you'd expect. Car park a bit of a challenge apparently for the well-heeled of Harpenden who have fancy cars but no idea how to park them. Gives one amusement to watch so long as you're not waiting for Lucinda or Jeremy to work out how wide their Mercedes is and whether it will fit between the white lines of the parking space... May 2023 - the car park barrier arm is working again and issuing tickets for 90 minutes' free parking. However, no-one's at the exit to check them, it seems...

Car park needs sorting out, needs upgrading and new lay out. Standard waitrose. No one ever at tobacco kiosk. Normally blocked off with trolleys. Ask staff if I could get cigarettes.. and it just seems to be a inconvenience for them.

Oh hello. If you like potholes, you'll love this supermarket. Chelsea tractors are pretty common in Harpenden but such a vehicle is a requirement to access this place one to access this place due to the size of the craters on the way to the car park. Fix up. Your food is pricey enough, I'm sure you can stretch to some road repairs for your customers who don't drive a 4x4. EDIT: I really wish Waitrose would get on touch with their local council to address the issue. Furthermore, they should fix the barriers which have been broken for many months, encouraging non-store shoppers tonuse the car park free of charge, leading to overcrowding. Another update: GBP 7 of Angus steak. Huge amount of gristle. Not impressed.
