Dealing with the loss of a loved one is undeniably a time filled with sorrow, and arranging a funeral with no prior knowledge can be quite overwhelming. However, W. Uden made the entire process exceptionally smooth. Their comprehensive website, coupled with informative explanations of the funeral process, offered invaluable guidance. Collaborating with Chris initially and then with Lee on the day of the funeral was an absolute delight. I wholeheartedly recommend seeking assistance from W. Uden when facing the task of arranging a funeral following a loss.

    We were all over the place until we booked an appointment with W. Udens & Sons in Camberwell, Chris tended to our every need, answered ever email I wrote and every question my family put to him and looked after my father so very well, my father looked so peaceful in the chapel and it gave us peace seeing him so many times prior to the funeral and Chris was very accomodating to every need we had with placing items that meant something to us all in with my father and also the many times we went to view him. On the day of the funeral it was such a lovely respectful and dignified send off for my father, Lee the pallbearer rang the day before to assure my mum of everything and also let her know he would be available before the funeral, during the funeral and after the funeral. When we all saw Lee with his cane and slow marching down to where my parents lived it hit us all and it was emotionally charged with how beautiful everything looked but also overwhelmed with how final it was. Lee our driver on the day was also such a lovely person to look after us while we travelled behind the hearse on the day. The whole experience from beginning to end has been nothing short of exceptional and I recommend W. Uden & sons wholeheartedly without question. Thank you to Chris, Lee, Lee and all that looked after my father since the 12th of March, you made his fmaily very proud I am sure he would have loved all of it. Rob Young

    I couldn't of chosen a better funeral directors to look after my mum. I dealt with Sophie Parsons at the Camberwell branch and on the day Darrel. We were looked after throughout from start to finish. They showed compassion, bundles of empathy and the upmost respect for my mum. I can't fault their communication with us which was 24/7. No question was too silly or bother to them. Sophie went through the whole process step by step and took her time to listen to mum's wishes and ours. The celebrant who was entrusted for mum's funeral was Nicola Taylor who was absolutely amazing, she came to mum's to talk to us about mum, took notes and really put us at ease. she was so easy to talk to and was in constant contact with us sending drafts and confirming details with us. I can and will recommend uden & Sons forever more, but this was my Mum's wish to use Uden & sons at Camberwell, so well done Mum good choice.

    My mother died in October and was cremated on the 16th November 2022, her preferred Undertaker was Udens. I could not fault the service and the respect that was shown to her during her stay at Southampton Way and on her journey to the Crematorium at Honor Oak. I am forever grateful that her every wish was catered for and nothing was too much to ask - every detail, right down to the route to the Crematorium was honoured. The procession was exemplary and could not fail to touch one's heart. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Udens to anyone looking for excellence and compassion, respect to the deceased.
