Genuinely so pleased to have found Darren!! This was the first service since getting my Beetle, and I was keen to find a local VW specialist who would be able to work with the 'quirks' of a 20-year old car. Not only is Darren super-knowledgeable and reasonably priced, he's very pragmatic. Other mechanics might have recommended that I spend more than the car's worth on all sorts of work, but Darren sensibly recommended what was worth getting done (for safety and efficient running) whilst honestly telling me what is not worth the money and better just to live with. Darren also has very good recommendations of other local companies. I adore my Bug and know that she is in the best hands possible with Darren. It was the hottest day of the year, the phones were down so I took a chance and passed by after work at 6pm. I explained the warning light and the noise my car was making, Darren diagnosed the problem pick up the tools and the parts and went to diagnose my car. He hooked my car up to the tablet and within 20 minutes he had confirmed the diagnostic, changed the part fixed the problem changed the spark plug and my car was running smoothly. Very good price too. He also realised I wasn’t using my air con and told me he could fix it if I wanted and gave me a quote.
