Company agreed to fabricate something for me. Communicated well to begin with, asked for a deposit to secure purchase which they didnt take no matter how much I asked for the invoice. About 2 weeks in they stopped communicating so I believed they had bailed and I was going to go elsewhere. Suddenly I get an email assuring me it's all going on, eventually with images to back it up. Was then told I would hopefully receive the item end of week 3 (bearing in mind I was told initially there would be a 2 week lead time). Then they had some issues with some of their equipment and explained it might be at the end of week 4 but as that time neared I was told that it wouldn't be then as there were delays. Beginning of week 5 I rang on the monday and spoke to the shop floor asking to speak to the manager Chris Scrutton who has been communicating with me throughout. He wasn't available and was given his mobile which I called and had no answer or return call from. I called the tuesday and was told by the shop floor staff that some pins that were needed for my job had been delivered and that everything was made up and ready, they just needed to pre assemble the product before delivery, but still I hadn't managed to speak to Chris. Wednesday I tried again to find out what was going on but neither the shop floor or the mobile number answered after numerous tries. So I called the sister company, Dynamic load Monitoring, and they assured me he would call me back. I could tell something was off with this person too as he told me I would get a call back. Obviously no call back! Or response to numerous emails! So finally, after 5 weeks of waiting and not exploring other options to fulfill my need because I kept being given false hope of being delivered the product, I am left without what I had asked for with no explanation why or communication and have wasted 5 weeks of my time where I could have arranged something else. Absolutely disgusted, I was nothing but patient and understanding the entire time, and this is how I get treated for it. Obviously no matter how much I asked for an invoice I never got one so I'm not out of pocket, but given I'm back at work after furlough leave now, time is gone for me to spend time creating something myself. All I needed to know was whether they were going to supply me or not, completely messed me about for no good reason. I've dealt with many fabricators over the last few months and initially I believed this company to be the best with its communication and apparent willingness to help, turned out to be the worst. Thanks Vulcan Offshore and thankyou Chris Scrutton :)
