    Very, very good if a bit odd… place was empty apart from some beefy blokes drinking at the bar and a bit shabby throughout, and we were informed upon attempting to order drinks that all their draughts were out. “It’s been a long weekend” - this on a Tuesday night. This is the sort of place that would scream “mob front” if it were in New Jersey. However, like many a scruffy hole in the wall trattoria, Vitoria has excellent food — high quality and creative pizzas and pastas, along with a very good vegetable antipasto, and lovely service. Kids menu is very reasonably priced considering the portions would be generous for adults. Skip Prezzo and give these guys a shot.

    A great find on a day out on York with family,yesterday 13th may around 5.30pm.The staff were amazing,helpful,friendly and a good bit of banter as walked past. Even other diners were great...we were all chatting to each other. Nicely laid out. Good choice of dishes/drinks . The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. We hadnt booked but they easily fitted us 5 in .Will definitely be back .

    So much potential but needs some work. Essentially the food was tasty, the staff were friendly, so all the fundamentals are there but customer service, wait times, decor, heating needs working on. Maybe it didn't help as we were a party of 8, sat at the back of the restaurant that maybe we were forgotten....we had to ask where our food was as well as our bottle of prosecco but when they turned up the staff apologised for wait and it was tasty. So I wouldn't rush back from own experience but it's a shame as so much potential.
