Went on a busy bank holiday weekend, bare in mind tourism is a big part of the towns income and literally no parking anywhere. Found the gas street car park full but the back completely empty why not open it to paying tourism £10 per car you could fit easily 1000 cars in. Security turned up who was obnoxious and ignorant I tried to explain that we had travelled from the midlands and was met with a shrug and don’t park on the empty vast space when i queried where can we park was met with a shrug and not my job. So Southend on sea obviously doesn’t need tourism as there is no parking and they don’t cater for people out of town will never spend my money here again plenty of better places who appreciate the income generated from tourism.

Took 5 and 7 year old Grandkids for the day. Used the toilets in the large car and coach park. Met with 3 toilets occupied by rough sleepers smoking weed. Effing and blinding. The blonde woman who is a "star" from appearing in the Essex police reality show appeared swearing and stoned. Another stoned woman with mascara and tears sat outside swearing. My Husband went in the gents and saw a dealer going in three toilets. I phoned the police. Don't tell me you are not aware this is happening all the time??? Do something now. There should be an attendant permanently. What a sxxx hole. Like a third world country. Disgusting...Lynne Whitbread
