I came here to do an eye test a few weeks ago, not necessarily to buy new glasses, just check my vision. The lady who checked me said that my eye prescription changed and one of my eyes vision deteriorated a lot which I was sorry to hear. When I told them to use the frame I bought last year for my new prescription, they told me that taking off the lenses and put them back the new ones, could damage the frame... I didn't say anything and then the assistant said, it should be fine, its a strong frame... Something I didn't appreciate as I find this as an excuse for me to buy new glasses.. When I took my new glasses , I went home and noticed that with my old glasses I bought 2 years ago I was able to see much clearer than with the new glasses I was recommended which meant I was given the wrong eye prescription. I explained this to the shop and came back to do another eye test, where they told me that my old prescription is right as they checked my old glasses I brought to the shop but I needed now new glasses to see better for the distance. Which I didn't know and I understood that they were right. So they changed the prescription from reading glasses to distance glasses. A few weeks later I came back to receive my glasses, they did the prescription wrong and the glasses was reading glasses , not for distance. So they didn't use the right prescription and they needed to fix again. I left the shop and come back when I received a text that they were now ready. Yesterday I came back for second time and again the prescription was for reading glasses. This time they asked me to wait and fixed the glasses in the next 10 minutes as they should. Finally I was able to get the right prescription for the glasses I needed. Would I recommend vision express after my latest experience? My answer is negative. I am sorry.

Amazing service every time, always trusted the staff and they are always friendly. They really went above and beyond to get alternative pair of glasses for my father in law after he broke his glasses when he fell and ended up in hospital.

I was extremely impressed with the service I received at the Stevenage branch. The optician was very thorough when conducting the eye test and gave me helpful advice. He was polite, kind and very professional. I can definitely recommend it as the service is far superior to their rivals.
