    Replacement lenses for half price on old frames as new glasses and lenses are not suitable. I unfortunately I didn’t realise I had only a 3 moth timescale to advise this so I now have a pair of useless specs!

    I would give the optometrist, Bertha a 5 ⭐️ rating. She was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and helpful when I went for my initial checkup in August. However, when my glasses arrived the lenses were all wrong and I couldn't see anything through them. Bertha checked them and said the lenses were incorrect, and weren't the prescription which she'd prescribed. We agreed that they would reorder them. My new glasses were reordered on 21/9 (93days ago) and I collected them on 29/9 (86days ago) . I wanted to give them a good try as they had prisms which I hadn't had before but subtitles were very blurry, this was a concern as work in healthcare and need to be able to read the monitors. I confirmed with Bertha and Martha in the store that I'd still be able to trial them for the 100 days as per their returns policy, and this was confirmed. I returned from overseas having trialled my glasses at work where I found it hard to distinguish between 6,0 and 9 on the monitor, so clearly they weren't suitable for me. I returned them to the Chichester , South Street branch today where I was told by the store manager Aja Rajhil that I was 2 days over the 100 days and that I couldn't have a refund. She insisted that the 100 days is from the placement of the order and not from receipt of the glasses. The manager kept going on about how other shops only offer a 30 day refund like Marks and Spencer which was completely irrelevant. In fact even from the date of order it was within the 100 days. I contacted Head Office Complaints Team, who stated that the returns policy was from the date of receipt and that as my original order was incorrect it was from the replacement glasses. It also states on the website that it's 100 days from receipt of the glasses . The manager said that as an act of goodwill she would give me a refund, I can tell you there was no goodwill from her. She just didn't want to give me a refund. I've always used that branch of Vision Express, but I will never go there again. My glasses were £350 , so not an insignificant amount of money. My 1 ⭐️ rating is for the manager. I'd give the Complaints team 5 ⭐️.
