  I've had a fantastic experience with Viscount. When I first contacted them to discuss purchasing a secondhand instrument, they spent a lot of time showing me their range of instruments old and new, and carefully listened to my requirements and budget considerations. I was then very impressed by how quickly they contacted me to let me know about a secondhand instrument that was about to become available and, needless to say, it matched my requirements perfectly. I was given plenty of time to test the instrument in Bicester so I knew that I was getting the right organ for me. I have been thoroughly impressed from first contact through to delivery.

  I would certainly recommend a Viscount for home use. I purchased my Chorum S40 just after the first lockdown and found the company most helpful. They give excellent value for money, my delivery was quick and efficient (up three flights of stairs on the hottest day of the year), Richard Patt was available for assistance and advice post-purchase, and the instrument has proved ideal for practice and online demonstrations of various sorts. I too fail to understand Andrew Neilsson's comments.

  My association with Viscount dates back to their Watford days, when I bought a Prestige II, and I can recommend the company without reservation. My current instrument, a Regent Physis, has given and continues to give me many hours of pleasure, and David Mason and his colleagues have always given generously of their time and knowledge whenever I have needed it. Having visited the Viscount factory in Italy, I can confirm that the quality of the workmanship is second to none, and that the care taken there to achieve the highest standards in all aspects of the design and build borders on fanaticism. I would have no reservation in buying another of their instruments, although I have no doubt that my current instrument will outlive me!

  When I purchased my home organ I visited three companies for advice and trying instruments. Although I could have happily purchased from all three companies the one company that really impressed me, and more importantly my wife, was Viscount. The service was excellent and although I could only afford a lower range instrument I was treated as if I was spending much more money. Viscount was the only company to offer free delivery on its lower spec instruments. David Mason exemplifies knowledge and customer service. Very impressed indeed.

  Viscount are an excellent professional company who have given myself, personally, and a local church housing a 25-year-old Viscount organ, top class service for many years. I fail to understand the comments from Andrew Neilsson who appears to harbour an irrational animus against this excellent company. Perhaps he would like to provide concrete and verifiable evidence to back up his ludicrous claims? Viscount organs are excellent instruments supplied by a first-class company and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to any individual, school or church seeking a good digital organ. Their Physis organs are extremely well-built and have an excellent sound, whilst their Custom Regent instruments are the equal of anything - even a good pipe organ!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  Just as the Covid pandemic was in it's early stages, before lockdown hit us, I was lucky enough to get a visit to the showroom at Bicester, to check out the range of organs, which Viscount have. It was the best thing I've done in years! David Mason is the epitome of a gracious gentleman and was so very helpful with his advice on what would be most suitable for my needs, without the pushy sales talk that one may fear. I was left to try out various instruments without feeling that anyone was lurking behind me. The instrument I eventually decided on required some extra work, which had to be done at the build stage, in Italy. Covid struck, but I was encouraged from time to time that even with the international restrictions, I would get what I needed. And I did! When I took delivery of my own Viscount, it was perfect. Delivery was great, organised and no trouble at all. I have an extremely difficult entrance to my home, but nothing was too much trouble for them. David has even gone to extra lengths for me, with throwing in a pre used adjustable bench! Subsequently, David has assisted me by finding materials, having made up and installing a special adjustable music 'desk'! I've had no issues with my organ at all and am extremely happy with it. I can't recommend Viscount Organs highly enough!!

  Unfortunately, they don't seem to know much about organs, how the sound from organs is generated and travels, and they are extremely arrogant and narrow minded. They recently admonished another company who actually know what they are doing when it comes to digital organs, and any good business would not feel the need to do this, especially if they knew what they were talking about!!!!. The viscount organs of late are not a patch on the quality of those from the past, but they still sound pretty awful in comparison to other offerings that are now available. A viscount console makes a reasonable MIDI platform for a virtual pipe organ but that is about all I would recommend it for. They cannot accept any criticism about the sound quality and approach to synthesis, which is now a bit long in the tooth. This company is run by an accountant in essence who has picked up organ knowledge along the way. It hasn't stopped him admonishing people who really do know what they are talking about and have the proper professional qualifications to back it up and decades of experience. Rubbishing others is not the right way to compete in a fair open market. It appears there are two sides to this company. If you are buying from them then they are as nice as pie with you, but anything else they have been pretty vile to people online. The latest viscount organs really are pretty cheap and nasty and sound as such. There are better alternatives out there, so think carefully before parting with a lot of money.

  Excellent service and support over many years. Viscount Physis organs are way ahead of any of their competitors in terms of sound reproduction. A good range of models to suit all budgets and an after sale and service department that gives complete satisfaction and reassurance at all times. I thoroughly recommend this company and the organs they sell.
