Poor customer service and terrible policy on fines. We had a bad experience with parking charges, as many people on Trustpilot have mentioned (just search 'charge') We returned the car on 8th April, and we were surprised to be contacted by Virtuo on 19th May and charged directly to my card for 2 parking tickets incurred on the journey. We had been charged for parking at a Coop customer car park even though we had proof of purchase, and also been charged for stopping in ibis car park while we enquired with the receptionist about rooms. There was someone present in the car the whole time. Virtuo paid both of the fines and charged a £25 'processing fee' for each one, so we lost the right to dispute either of these fines with the original issuers. Contacting customer service directly did not help, as they state to everyone that it is a driver's responsibility to avoid any fines during the rental. All of their replies were copied and pasted and sometimes were not even relevant to the issue. Now they have stopped communicating with us but still attempt to charge the card every few days. All drivers know that parking charges are often unfair or a misunderstanding and can often be appealed. Virtuo takes away this right and blames the customer. We suspect that this is in order to more easily earn commission on these fines. We are still waiting for any reasonable response and solution.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. The only comment I would make is that when arriving by foot, Google maps take you to the vehicle entrance to the the car park.
