My partner had wanted get a pet macaw for a very long time and the whole experience with this company has been shocking. ā¢ Incredibly good at getting back to us when they were going to make a sale (including out of hours and different methods of contact). Terrible and unprofessional at responding to messages after we raised an issue. ā¢ Was told she was hand raised/tamed but she had been stuck in quarantine for 1 month longer than she should have been but was NOT told that she was also in the shop for approx. 6 months with little to no human contact. ā¢ Spoke to them within 48hrs of the delivery about issues that we noticed (aggression, severe bite which is still painful at times now) ā encouraged us to continue trying for a week but said that she would speak with the business owner regarding the possibility of a refund which Jo did not do. It was at this point, Jo told us about the 6 months in the shop. ā¢ Claimed that we would get a full refund if we returned her ā but only after she found out that we had had to rehome her. ā¢ Bird was on a poor diet of seeds and refused to eat the appropriate food we gave her. She was also in a carrier for 8hrs on the way to us and there was no sign of water. ā¢ Given to a rescue with experienced handlers ā she was removed from the cage wrapped in a towel to protect the ladyās fingers. ā¢ Multiple people in person and online have advised that she may not be the age listed on the Article 10 and believe that she may be older, this includes the people at the rescue. ā¢ Since then, communication continued and I expressed my dissatisfaction and Jo argued back and refused to accept any responsibility for selling animals that are not fit for sale. ā¢ We would never rehome an animal unless absolutely necessary and we have taken in and owned multiple animals with different requirements but we knew that we were going to be unable to work with her as she would need professional trainers to break the behaviour. We are absolutely devastated with the way this has gone ā we have a very large cage in a dedicated bedroom that we no longer want to go into. ā¢ Spent a long time putting ourselves in a position to be able to afford this. ā¢ Wish we had taken a look at more reviews before purchasing from this company because if we had seem some of the things that some other people are saying then we would never had had any faith in this company. We are disgusted by the level of āserviceā from this company. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

So, we were on our way back from a family holiday in Cornwall (nice 7 hour drive back to Aylesbury) and my wife was wondering how long it would take to get to Towcester from our house, I said to her āaround 40 - 45 minutesā, she asked me whether we would be able to take a drive to Sky Birds, it was 4:10pm by the time we got back home, I said we could take a drive to see if we can find it (the postcode takes you to the general area) so we set off, bird carrier in hand, we were stuck behind a tractor fo much of the journey with our expected arrival time being around 5:05pm, we had lost all hope, we found that only one gate was closed, so decided to drive in, there was another family inside finishing a transaction, I asked if I could bring my wife and children in just to have a look as my wife knew what she wanted, the staff kindly allowed us to come in and look around, it was 5:15pm at this point, we went to look at some Indian Ringnecks and some Quakers, my wife decided that she wanted a Ringneck after hearing how loud the Quakers were, so there we were, past closing time, selecting our first parrot (we have had a cage since February), my wife picked out a lovely male Ringneck (the only male left) and we purchased him then and there, after a nice drive home and some debate, we settled on naming him Pablo, he is still settling in, but he is such a character, we couldnāt be more thankful to the wonderful staff that allowed us to look around past closing time, it was the only day that my wife and I would be able to look around together. Pablo seems very happy in his new home, we canāt wait for him to gain our trust so we can start interacting with him ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø Thank you to the staff for allowing us to bring this lovely bird into our homeā¦ 9 hours on the road was well worth it on Monday :)
