Rooms: Fair size, comfy, more attention paid to cleanliness n hygiene. Nearby activities: Gym within the hotel, Starbucks coffee lounge in complex, shops, retail, food within a short drive or if feeling energetic, walking distance. Safety: All fire exits well signposted and emergency procedures documented. Some of the carpets on the stairs were threadbear in places! Walkability: Though building work was being carried out within the vicinity of the hotel, accessible pavements n roads were in place for convenience. A short walk you were near the main road and able to walk around in a full circuit in about half an hour. Fields, shops, local buses ran near the hotel. Food & drinks: A wide choice of drinks to suit most peoples needs and the food. Order placed and only a short wait to be served, was hot(temperature), tasty and well presented.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. I BOOKED OVER A WEEK IN ADVANCE AND AFTER DRIVING ALL DAY TO THE HOTEL MY ROOM HAD BEEN GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE. CHECKED US INTO A HOTEL 10 MINUTES AWAY AND SAID THE TAXI WAS PAID FOR YET I HAD TO PAY FOR TAXI. NEVER RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE MANAGER TO ORGANISE REFUND. INCOMPETENT STAFF COULD NOT EXPLAIN THE SITUATION CLEARLY.

I had an awful experience. When checking in I double checked that I had a family room which I paid for. The receptionist was not attentive, but told me they took did have an extra bed. There was no extra bed. The receptionist also said I hadn’t added breakfast to my booking. I added breakfast prior to our arrival but was told it was for one person. I therefore paid for my husband and daughter who is a child but I was charged for three adult breakfasts @£30 I paid £81 for the room. The receptionist assured me I was charged for two adults and one child. We got to our room and the separate bed wasn’t made for my daughter. We were attending a party at the hotel and the bed had to be made when we were getting ready for the party which was not convenient. Later in the evening, my key card didn’t work. After three attempts back down to reception, when I was told each time that the card would work, it didn’t. This was at 11pm. The receptionist finally came to check why the card wasn't working at my fourth attempt and fifteen minutes of going up and down to reception and found that the battery in the door key lock has run out. It had to be changed whilst I waited to go into my room. Also on leaving the ceiling was leaking so we couldn’t leave via the entrance. Overall, I was very disappointed.
