For years I postponed transferring my 178 Video8 and miniDV tapes to DVDs and hard drives. Now in the middle of the lockdown and the curiosity of the family members about what we had done in the past, now was the right time to get the suitcase with the tapes from the loft. When I saw the disordered tapes, some of which were already in poor condition, I quickly realized that I needed professional help. After a long search on the Internet, Brett Allen’s Video Point Office in Maidstone (Kent) was left over. After the first contact with Brett, I had a good feeling that I had found the right person / company. After the handover I had to wait a few weeks until Brett had copied the 178 tapes onto DVDs and an external hard drive. To my surprise, he not only covered the tapes in excellent quality, he also numbered and labeled them. With that I have to say that in my case Video Point did an absolutely top job far beyond my expectations and all for a more than fair price.
